Xiaojing (Cora) Wu
Remedial Massage Therapist
Cora obtained the Master Degree of Clinical Medicine from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. She is a registered Chinese Medicine doctor in China and specialises in acupuncture and massage.
After four-year practice as a massage therapist here in Australia, Cora has developed a deeper understanding in massage as well as the spectrum of diseases it can help with. Realising that massage is not just for relaxation and can be as beneficial as acupuncture, Cora started to learn remedial massage and has been combining it with Chinese medicine theory in her practice. She just finished the course and will soon become a certified Remedial Massage therapist after registration.
Cora used to help patients with various conditions by acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in her practice in China, from all kinds of pain conditions to mental health issues such as depression (her thesis for master degree was the efficacy of auricular acupuncture on depression from the perspective of anti-inflammation). Having been equipped with knowledge in remedial massage, she is able to think about treatment plans through both lenses and thus to optimise the treatment for clients.
With an interest in Western medicine theory on needling/acupuncture and cupping, Cora is going to continue to study Myotherapy this year.
As a foodie, Cora enjoys cooking and baking, doing all kinds of “experiments” in the kitchen. She also likes to explore the nature and hike during spare time.
